Recently, I had the pleasure of stepping out on the red carpet at comedian, Doug Bass‘ “Dog & Funny Show” at Open Space Cafe in Los Angeles. The pre-show event was a fun one that included an appearance by the Delorean time machine like the one featured in the classic 1980’s film Back to the Future. Guests had the opportunity to take pictures with the Delorean with proceeds going to Kids in the Spotlight.
While everyone was striking a pose with the iconic car, I was chatting it up with the Kids in the Spotlight founder, Tige Charity. She shared with me how the non-profit organization works with kids in the foster care system and other underserved youth to help them “tell their stories their way.” Those involved learn to create, write, cast and even star in their own short films that are then screened the first Saturday in November. To learn more about this amazing organization and Tige Charity, check out the full interview.
